KMC Bloomfield held their first International Band Jam playoff at Black Eyed Sally’s last Thursday night. Six of KMC’s finest bands battled for a chance to win a spot to perform on Fender’s Frontline stage at Winter NAMM. Nearly 100 of their closest peers came out to cheer them on and enjoy a night of fantastic music, fun and friends.
“Band Jam was awesome! There are so many talented people at KMC, it was a lot of fun to see our peers get together and play. Not only was the music great, but I also had the opportunity to meet and get to know a lot of the new faces that I’ve seen walking through the building.” -- Missy Kennedy, Staff Accountant.
Facing off were: Strange Brew -- Martin Kelly, Mike Markure and John O'Leary Rock Full-O-Nuts -- Sue Gallagher, Mike Feinberg, Ken Fredenberg, Jeff Pyle and Andy Schlosser Two of Us -- Jim and Michael Lenn Return To Whatever -- Dave Bell, Cristina Candy, Rick Hall, Mike Markure, John Palmer and Frank Rindone The Tinkers -- Jay Cole and Mick Finnerty Icabod Crook -- Frank Aresti, Roger Hart and John Palmer
At the end of the night, final votes were tallied...and the winning band was announced. Congratulations to Return to Whatever!
Return to Whatever will perform along with the 5 other FMIC division bands on Fender's Frontline stage at Winter NAMM! During each NAMM Frontline Band Jam performance, video clips of each band will be shot and posted on an intranet/internet site for employees to view and vote on. The one band selected by employees as the “winner” will play at Fender's dealer banquet held the same week.
Best of luck, Return to Whatever…bring back the gold for KMC Bloomfield!
